As pointed out by “April 24″ on the killiefc forums, it is exactly 45 years since Killie beat Hearts by 2 goals to nil at Tynecastle to win the Scottish League on goal average.
Here is the video…enjoy!

Taken with a phone, this video shows the corner BEFORE the one where Pascali scored!

Killie keep missing chances. Another game where we dominated and hit the woodwork, or narrowly missed or just plain screwed up in front of an open goal. No Kyle due to injury again. What is going on? We have only 6 points from 7 games, 3 of them from the first game.

An enjoyable game for a pre-season friendly. Killie clearly matched the Premiership boys in every department. With Hamill, then Bryson, then Skelton asserting their authority on the midfield, the home team looked the more likely, but still lacked a cutting edge up front. Mark Burchill will have to step up a bit to play at this level!!
Killie won by a slightly bizarre own goal when O’Leary’s forward punt was headed past his own keeper by Burnley No.5, Carlisle. Much laughter around RP.
The visitors had a couple of mere half chances and so did we. Another moment of note was when Burnley substitute Chris Eagles ran onto the park and was immediately confronted in a challenge by Garry Hay. Cool as an iced cucumber and exhibiting the team’s superiority at that point, Hooky back-heeled the ball past Eagles to man of the match, Skelton. A classy addition to the game from the testimonial-season man.
A nice night out.
Kevin Kyle plays his first game for KFC at the new St Mirren Park. This was the first game played at the new stadium and KK’s goal was the first scored at the new venue.
Killie played well in spells but couldn’t score more than one goal from their chances. Combe felled Craig Dargo, but remained on the park to save the resulting penalty.
Man of the match: Kevin Kyle, by a country mile.
